How to change Sierra Ignition Barrel???
Whats the technique for changing an ignition barrel from teh sierra column.
There seems no obvious way!
I have a new barrel to go in as mine was missing the key.
Helllllllllllllp

you need to turn the key to the second click then push in a sprung detent on the side of the barrel to release it.
if you don't have the key, i believe a 13mm drill bit down the middle works well.

I thought drilling out the detent would be easier than the a 13mm down the main barrel!
All sorted now 10mm and some small pliers sorted it!
Thanks all

You need to do both, drill the indent so its below flush with the body then drill out the barel you need to try to get the barrel out so you can turn
it to the second click.

You just need to turn the key to I and use a rivit in the hole to release it...

Then out it pops and you can see the detent that holds it in.
