front wishbone angles please help

Should the front wishbones be parallel? If I set up as per the book my top WB seems to be too short? wheels are angled inwards??? please help

The bottom one should be parallel with the ground, the top one angle up towards the wheel.

This does of course vary with ride hieght and wheel size etc.
