car breakers

Does anyone know of a decent breakers in south essex ( im near lakeside etc ) im about to start my next project and need to start getting parts, sierra hubs, steering, diff, shafts etc

when i started my last project 4 years ago eBay had loads of stuff, not anymore by the look of it.

When i lived in essex there used to be many car breakers at Rainham, ferry lane area but ive lived in the midlands for a few years now and not sure if they are still there.

Going to have to guess that you don't want to buy a complete donor then? There's still a goodd few Sierras about, and it's usually the best way

Hi there is a few left round there, but a lot have gone, rainhams all being developed, ford have gone, channel tunnel rain link gone through rainham>

I did think about getting a seirra, but didn't want a sierra left in my garage with no wheels etc then the agg of trying to get rid of it.

Getting rid of the shell is much easier than it used to be, due to the price of scrap metal. Might be worth you looking into it, make a couple of calls. many scrappies use flat bed lorried with Hiabs, pick up a shell with no wheels easy

Good thinking, im sure a few of us can push a car with no wheels on trolley jacks.

Hanningfield has a breakers that used to specialise in Sierras otherwise Stock has a bunch of about 5 in one place, there are a few around Southend airport.
