beaver34 - 28/2/09 at 02:04 PM

just interest really to see what performance times eg 0-60 0-100 etc..... you have for you cars and the spec that you guys are running,

ill start, dont have a finshed kit at the moment but my last project,

managed a 6.4 to 60 on proper timing gear on standard road tyres

3.5 V8 Viento

4.9 s 0-60mph on accurate timing gear

too much wheel spin to do better.

Road tyres

wilkingj - 28/2/09 at 04:10 PM

Yup same for me
V8 Viento (3.5 Rover V8, 4 Barrel Webber, and some mild headwork done by me)
0-60 4.9 secs (This is a common time for V8 Viento's)

14.89Secs Standing 1/4 mile at Santa Pod (Includes major wheelspin in first, and missing 3rd gear halfway up the track - It was my first ever attempt a 1/4 mile)
Vid of the Run:
Linky - Its 6Mb file- over my Broadband so will be slow-ish

Again too much wheelspin, and Kuhmo road tyres. 235 x 17 on the back wheels and should have done 265 at least. Its just being able to get the power down on to the tarmac.
Biggest problem is TOO MUCH torque

My 1600 xflow engined locost stays with Geoffs car up to about 80 with no problems

sonic - 28/2/09 at 05:18 PM

Thats a quick GT4 you got there mate

I had a black WRC ST205 GT4 with big HKS cams,Verniers pulleys, big valve head,HKS Ball bearing turbo, decat pipe and HKS ECU. and it wasnt that quick!
To much weight in them, they handle really well and good strong midrange but weigh about 1300kg.

I bet the engine internals aint stock

blueskate - 28/2/09 at 06:36 PM

MR2 Turbo 0-60 4.5 seconds 1/4 mile 12.88.secs

400bhp between breakdowns

car was bog standard new import wen I got it and thats all I did to it ;]
Must just be good at the ol launchin ;] Average 1/4s were 13.2-4 I only got 13.1 twice but I did do it.

flak monkey - 28/2/09 at 09:50 PM

Just under 5 secs in the GTS. Mini is about 6.5

Edited to say 0-60 times are just pub boasting figures really...they dont tell you very much

David

Meeerrrk - 1/3/09 at 03:19 PM

1/4mile 13.61secs (santapod)

pretty good for a fully road spec (including tyres) FWD car :

Hellfire - 1/3/09 at 07:06 PM

1200cc, quarter mile time 12.5 secs. Never done a 0-60 with proper timing gear.

Phil

locoR1 - 1/3/09 at 10:31 PM
