Sorry about that .... I guess you do have to log in but that's easy, free and on one will bother you after you do , now or in the future.
I guess that is the only way you can see all the stuff although I'm trying to put together a Flicker account that will be limited to pictures.
Haven't been successful at that yet (limited computer understanding on my part).

It seems you're using the same transmission as I and NastyBob are using also.
The common opinion on from the GT40 forum was that I'm pushing my luck using the 012 behind a V8, but its what I've got so I'm going
with it.
Doing the adaptor - flywheel for my arrangement turned into a exercise in itself, how have you go that covered?

Sorry for the inconvienience of having to go to the USA site but as yet I'm unable to figure out how to post multiple pics on the Uk site so
doing the primary post on USA made sense for the time being. Hopefully others here on UK will follow your lead to the full story on the USA site.
I don't know about you, but without thousands of dollars to spend on a transaxle and after checking-out the many possibilities offered on this
and other sites I chose the Passat unit believing that any issues relating to the torque produced by the LT1 could be negated by the reduced weight of
the Mabaan. In essence one could say that I'm expecting the tires to slip before the transaxle breaks. I realize that this is not the thought
process a competitive team in F1 would use but then I'm not funded by the same dollars they have at their disposal.
At $200.00 a piece, I can easily bolt up another Passat as I workout the required driving technique and other details on the track to make the Passat
a reliable alternative. I figure I can replace several Passats before I reach the $5-10,000's needed to purchase a perfect solution out of the
box.
I'm fortunate to live in the heart of NASCAR Country USA and therefore have many individuals at my disposal for machining and adapting normally
unmatched components. Not having the expertise required in this area, I have enlisted the help of a friend who has and he is adapting the clutch,
flywheel and other components to the reduced space available in the Passat bell housing for me.
When it is completed I'll share that info with you and others if you are interested.

Sure it'll be interesting to see how it made to work.
I've got my flywheel and adaptor made now. I'm using a Audi V6 clutch as its a straight fit on the transmission and had the highest rated
torque I could find that Audi had used on that input shaft, which BTW seams to be common to nearly all Audi's.
Yeah, an unlimited supply of $ & time would be a good thing
