Not yet, but we knew that this would be the next "Zetec" in terms of popularity.....

ive just wikipedia'd those engines and they are pretty damn impressive.

180hp from the 1.6l I4.

I mean, I know they're turbo'd but if you can slot it in as one package thats a brucey bonus. the V6s have 365/355hp standard.. Love to stick one of those in a dax rather than a RV8!

I'm curious if the new six speed manual is compatible with the existing SE?

Can anyone tell from the new show pics if the bell housing and engine mounts are the same as the current motor?

Didn't know engines that small were legal in the states...

Seriously though have you any idea where you're going to get one from, persuming the weight and dimensions are to your liking?

Ford USA has announced that the various EcoBoost engines will be a major part of their new USA cars.
Unfortunately they won't provide a firm USA release date yet.

I'm very interested in the 1.6 EcoBoost with the six speed manual.

Are there other Ford engines the same size? I can't imagine they'd be that much difference... I got a 6 speed on my Mondeo if you wish me to (try to) measure that, but it goes to a tdci engine..
