looks interesting - I like the idea of making your own 6 pot calipers!

Good luck

good site, but I'd like to see a day by day (or build day by build day) blog type of setup. I'd also like to see you r future plans on how you are going to design it.

The way you put XEN on the calipers was pretty sweet, I have to keep that in mind....

The build does look interesting, good luck.

cheers guys
i had loades of project names, but ended up choseing XEN cos it was the only one that would fit on a 6pot!
incidently ther based on the pistons from a suzuki hyabusa caliper, but had to make a new body to fit in me teenie weenie wheels!
(+its cool!)
ill get the page a bit more organised and set up a dairy page. and describe the design process im useing.

Thanks Pete.
How daft can one be?

yes im makeing the calipers and the disks, im just going to turn down some solid iron car disks, and bolt them directly on to the alloy hubs.

as for the solid axel im still not compleatly decide(been thinking about ditching one of the rear wheels which will save even more weight! :-) on it but it can definatly work,as lots of circuit races run "spool" diffs as ther much cheaper than LSD's and work!(see the dsr link on my site).

ther are also guys into drifting and drag raceing driveing round with welded up diffs, aprently they only disadvantage is it makes embarasing sqreeching noises in car parks!
and as for 10" wheels thay have a roleing diameter of 19" which is not that far from bike 17" wheels, and bike engine cars run much lower gearing than bikes usualy toping out around the 120mph mark, its all about acceleration!
