Progress has been slow in the grabergarage lately. But it's not because I have lost interest in the car. Simply not enough hours in the day to
fit life into them. Work is the busiest it has ever been and now I have another announcement.
I just wanted to let you all know that we are in the process of selling our house and buying a new (bigger) one. I have mixed feelings about the move
since this was our first house and we have been here since 1994. The entire la Bala project happened in this little 2 car garage.... Still - a 3 car
garage is going to be wonderful. Moving less than 10 miles away. I finally get my 3 car garage and media room!
In any case - you at locostbuilders.co.uk are like family to me so I figured I'd tell you about the plan. The move is on the 19th and 20th of
June. So there won't be much car building going on until after that point.
Mmmm, 3 car garage - I'm so jealous!
Good luck with the move, hope all goes well
Pete
good luck with the move and hope you get bk to the car sonn
Tri
That is good news. I thought you slunk into a deep depression and gave up . I look forward to reading any updates. Also, congratulations on your new
purchase. I have to admit to scoping out 3 car garage houses on my evening neighborhood jogs. Tis very tempting.
Best of luck.

I'd like a one car garage!
Hope you enjoy your new place thought mate and I hope both you and the family will be very happy there.
"media room" - is that a fancy way of saying you have a TV and computer in the bathroom?
You don't escape that easily Steve.....
I'll track you down again...
Well done, geat news....
Best of luck with your new home (you seems to know how to keep the wife and yourself happy! Strange combination)

Thanks all, it's a much bigger house. More bedrooms... That means you won't get the couch next time Alan. hehehe.
Media Room 17'x30' room... I can see into my future... 60" Sony Grand Wega with Dahlquist 7.1 surround sound ...
Car building is really a part of who I am and I can't see a time when I won't be tinkering, designing or building something that rolls or
flies... (or floats)
17'x30'?
That is as big as the ground floor of my house!
I got a 60" window does that count as media entertainment?
1 car garage that you can't get a car into for the junk!
I'm dead jelous!
Terry
On the negative side - (Just so you don't get too jealous) I'll have to be on lookout for scorpions and rattlers... It's the desert southwest after all...
Best of luck mate. Id be happy with a 1 car garage. Let alone 3..

Good luck with the move Steve.
I'm currently doing much the same, but in reverse. I'm downgrading from a quaint Cornish cottage with rising and sinking damp,an infestation
of slugs and a tiny garage to a mobile home/trailer with a decent workshop and what will be a triple garage.
I'll be on the lookout for chewing tobacco,a rocking chair, rusty stepside pickup and a mangy hound to complete the picture.

Ha! Rorty! It could be a boat or a plane or a hovercraft that I had in mind... But a car that does all of these things would certainly be something to
behold! LOL.
I promise to make good use of the garage and not shove it full of boxes and use it for storage.

Are you not taking the wife with you then?
Whenever I make a bit of workspace the wife fills it with something or other!
I leave a fine layer of swarf on the floor around the various entrances; that repels any notion of entry let alone storage attempts.
I'm currently de-rusting, so anything in the garage gets covered in a thin layer of rust Dad's BMW motorbike gets moved out of the way

- The key, I have found, is to make such a huge amount of dust and mess in the garage, that she wouldn't WANT to keep anything in the garage. Drywall dust is especially effective in promoting this behaviour.

I'm in the same boat, I more or less put work on the car to a halt a few months back to save up for a down payment and closing costs, I havnt
really touched the car since march, and havn't done any major work since last october. I check it weekly, and it seems not to be rusting thanks
to the rust bullet paint.
I put an offer on a house last weekend and they counteroffered, so I made another offer higher than their counter with a request for a bunch of work
(new windows and a paved driveway. Gonna find out this afternoon what they say, but the agent says it looks good. Right now I'm still $1500
(about $800 UK) short of what I need for closing, but that wont be due until I actually close, so right now I'm gonna be penny pinching for the
next 32 days trying to get that last bit of cash.

waaaaa-waaaaa I want my milk and cookies.
Actually it's been a nice break, after a year of somewhat steady work on the car, plus a hectic day job, I got a chance to focus on some mini
moto racing, and was at one point #2 in my local calss points race (4 races where I had fastest lap, 3 pole positions, 6 podium finishes and 4 wins).
However an on track accident in race 7 ended any chances of a decent season, while passing someone, he turned too wide pushing me into an off track
pothole, I flipped and broke my collar bone. My next race will be in late august, and i will have missed 1/2 of the season. Oh well, maybee next year.
