I have 1:1 scale models of a car I am looking to start having a chassis designed and a grp monocoque (a bit like the way the TVR cars are made). I am a bit unsure about this bit but I was wondering what successes other have been having with this type of project and what type of chassis designs have been tried with success?
If you have a 1:1 scalemodel of a car, just take you mold of that one
If you are looking for the same GRP quality as TVR, you have some work ahead of you or some serius €€€ to spend, other than that, start reading the
books ...
Cheers

I was told that TVR are using monocoque shells - I am sure I saw some 'out the back' when I was at the factory. But with respect, my fiance
has a TVR Tuscan and believe me I cannot believe they have spent any money on anything
They have even skimped on the glue for leather.......
Check the factory tours pictures at sleepy-fish
Just look at those beautiful molds.
Cheers
TVR use a backbone chassis with fibreglass panels, not a monocoque. They would have you shot at dawn for this blasphemy if they heard about it.

I read once on the TVR website they build the T350C completely with a carbon fibre chassis.
But maybe I'm wrong
Geoff
that looks like a back bone chassis to me !
