Finally got around to attaching some photos of my project - these are slightly doctored pics of the scale model. Work is about to re-start on the real thing. Ford based, Locost front end. May make it avail as plans if interest is there. What do you think of it????

JC, That's pretty cool! It reminds me of the Elise in it's stance and proportions.

I hope you keep us up to date on your progress.

PS - I couldn't view your attachment, so I saved it off to my hard drive and converted it into a Jpeg.[pg=]

Prototype has 1.6 CVH (it's cheap!) but Zetec will probably drop in at a later stage.

I like it too....reminds me of that BMW thing that was discussed earlier and the Ariel Atom.....but different enough not be confused with either.....

It'd be cool looking with transparent sides out of lexan or maybe translucent unpainted fiberglass that let's light through or something..

I think it looks like a roller skate!

Not my thing I'm afraid, sorry!

i was about to say it looks like a toy, then realised thats cos its sat on huge flagstones!! A good idea for a simple strong chassis, thats how i will do my next one. With so many straight lines from front to back it would be strong with very few tubes.

Does anyone have an opinion on weather (sp) lots of 3/4 inch tubes or a few 1.5" tubes would be better? or a mix...

maybe use 3/4x1.5 laid flat to give strength down the sides and bracing to give lengthways strength. if you follow my drift. anyone?

Where does the gas tank go?

According to Spyderman, no gas tank required. You use your feet.
