This thread is no good without pics
Big colourful ones preferably...
Hello BTW
Welcome to the forum, and there are various threads in the 'Website Problems and Suggestions" section
I look forward to seeing the pics (as long as they are a reasonable size)
John
What engine have you used?
Was looking at one of these for ideas for my next build.
looking forward to seeing some pics
Paul
Wish they were out when I started my Locost, would have been so easy to do your own version. A build time in a few weeks instead of years.
Cheers,
Bob

Nice... Looks very well done. I'm sure you'll get flack for the engine but I think that's a great choice... How easy was the
install??
James
very nice just one question Diesel???
very nice just one question Diesel???
Or the more pertinent question- how the hell have you plates on it before SVA?????
why diesel? why not? ahha
plates are from donor - only on for photos, it looked naff with nothing.
That's a newish donor. Good thinking, can save a lot of money by getting a newer donor, a lot less reconditioning is needed
John
you need that remapping asap
Nice caravan! Is it a four or five berth - heading for cover................... :-)
mev are doing a trackday at oulton 28th nov its through focused events and £99 for the day
remap:
yeah a soon as its all road legal and been running sweet, it would appear the turbo cud be shot.. good excuse to fit a bigger one
caravan:
parents 2 berth im afraid, im not allwed near it after i punctured the skin with the donor car door
Donor business:
My donor was a 2004 C-Max (mk3 focus running gear), and despite been newer things still needed cleaning and finishing. donor cost £3k for a stolen
recovered with no wheels or keys.
build:
slower than expected..
if you go buy the book and use a mk1 1.6 focus, the thing flys together.
almost every part in the kit had to be changed to work around that engine. wiring research and loom making took 6 weeks!
that trackday sounds good, but im starting uni in 3 weeks time so wont be registering/insuring/taxing car until 15th dec.
I'm all for bio-diesel sports cars. I really want you to let us know how it runs flat out.
Welcome btw.
just had an e-mail from MEV - there NOT doing a trackday on the 28th.
as much as i like my diesel pocket rocket, engines are naff. cant wait until we see internal combustion at the 21st century equivalent of a steam
rally. '35% efficiency....those were the days'
