Rotor JT7
zilspeed - 14/9/08 at 12:15 PM

Some of you may have heard of this project before, some not.
Anyway, here it is.

Graham Millar has designed and built racing cars for thirty years now and every car has been pretty much scratch built since the beginning. He is actually a registered user on here, but for some reason he can't post. Don't really know why, but it doesn't work for him. He's my guru when it comes to racing cars.

Anyway, the current car, the JT7 has been in his head for a long time and as of yesterday, it finally made it onto the track for the first time. It's not completely finished, but here are the pics anyway.

I take no responsibility for anything other than lending the tiniest hand in this car. The other lads, Simon, Davie, Dougie and Scott along with the man himself Graham deserve the largest round of applause and a huge pat on the back. Well done all of you.

Anyway, here it is. The Rotor JT7 in Sports 2000 spec.

Looks good, although the soft top could do with some more development

What engine does it have?

Being a sports 2000, they either use a Pinto, a Duratec or a Honda.
This one currently uses a Pinto.

blakep82 - 14/9/08 at 12:29 PM

is he racing today?

zilspeed - 14/9/08 at 12:35 PM

No, not today.

First outing is at Silverstone.

big_wasa - 14/9/08 at 12:45 PM

is it front or mid engine ?

PAUL FISHER - 14/9/08 at 01:03 PM

Looks interesting, has he got a build diary or webb site,so we can take a closer look

That is uber cool - love to see more photos from the side and rear.

Will he publish or sell the plans?

zilspeed - 14/9/08 at 05:39 PM

Wee bit more info to fill in some gaps.

It's mid engined and uses a Hewland. I think a type 9 in this case.

More info on RoToRs can be found here.

RoToR Website

Plands for sale ?

I very much doubt it.
The thorny issue of liability would prevent him from taking such a risk.

Will put up more pics as and when I have suitable permission.

Cheers

Nice design, like to see more of it The front of the car gives me the idea of a modern aerodynamic type of seven, like the "black brick" that raced in the 80'.

Very good looking car and I am sure it will be purposeful.

Front end reminds me of the Juno.
Now that is a fast car

Really?? Surely not an insurmountable problem? Have you spoken to Fozzie about it?
