I've been looking over your site, catching what I missed the first time over. Glad you decided to lose the frog eyes.
the probably would look OK if they were inset rather than surface mounted, but I wonder if round headlights work with the body style you got going? I
guess If they're in a pop up cluster it would.
Yeah, that was the trouble..I couldn't inset them...no room....pop ups seemed the best way out.
I will mould it just as it is and figure the lights later, but there will be plenty of room for pop ups.
I looked at your current work. Very nice!
With the clean lines that the pop-ups allow you to have, I agree that it's a good design choice.
have you thought about frenching the headlights behing a sheet of clear lexan?
maybe use an h4703 unit?
Yep...first choice, but sadly no room....not at a legal height....
What's the h4703?
the low beam bulb/assembly used on the 93-97 camaro
90-96 cutlass supreme
90-96 pontiac grandprix
very short only about 1-1 1/2" tall and only 4" wide
I was gonna install a pair on my impala to replace the quad headlights and create a ram air sytem but never did

IIRC about 6" with a 90* bulb connector
oops the bulb # is h4351 low beam
Added some pics of some paint applied....shape looks more defined.
Alan,
The shape looks good as does the finish (well, from the quality of the pics!) though you appear to have left the headlamp recess' smooth? or were
the previous pics i saw paintshop pro or something and you haven't started on that yet?!
Ned.
Ned, the front arches are smooth. The headlight pods you saw were real, but I ripped them off and and smoothed it flat again,...they were Ok from some
angles, but a bit too froggy from other angles.
Actually, the first coat of paint isn't as goood as it looks as it does it's sealing in the first coat or two and is a bit
blotchy....however I'll stil be filling a little so there will a lot more to go on yet.
