Just to help us all do you want a bike or a car engine?

it'll avoid a debate later

philw - 6/7/08 at 04:22 PM

I would steer clear of Trabant engines personally

jos - 6/7/08 at 04:34 PM

The ZX10R bike engine seems to be the engine of choice at the mo

tjoh84 - 6/7/08 at 04:49 PM

Is that Jos not recommending a Pinto

jos - 6/7/08 at 04:53 PM

If everybody had one theyd be as common as a ZX10R and I dont want that

bigrich - 6/7/08 at 05:45 PM

the favourites are blades-all years right up to the new 1000cc version.
ZX10R is the current in vogue unit
GSXR1000 has been used but in less numbers.
R1's seem less popular but have been used.
Any of these will give you loads of performance for your bucks.

Sorry should of put a bit more info into my question, what bike engine have people put into there mac 1 chassis.

Ive done a car engine and fancy a bike engine this time,

fesycresy - 6/7/08 at 08:27 PM

£ for £, R1 every time. Sensible diff ratio and reliable.

ZX10 and 'busa's won't be happy with a 3.62 diff.

It all comes down to how much cash you want to spend.

TimC - 7/7/08 at 06:38 AM

Doing it again, I think I'd go for a ZX12R.

Almost as good as a Busa at a fraction of the cost.

See what engine's been the fastest in RGB for the last couple of seasons... I'll save you the effort, it's the ZX12R.
