are you going to use a manual box ?

mt75 hybrid or a t9

kensprin - 15/11/10 at 05:59 PM

Im going to use a manual, I would like to attched it to MT75 hybrid but I only have a T9 spare. Lets see how long it lasts on that box lol. what you see in the video is the original auto bellhousing. I just attached that so I could start it up.

what are you doing with the puma set-up?

kensprin - 15/11/10 at 06:14 PM

The Puma is Use:Blackfingernail setup. I got it wired up for him. not mine wish it was. The BOB is going into my robin.

I know its a bit old but what problem did you come up against with the BOB on its proper ecu as you managed to get it to start but i suspect that you only managed to get it to rev to 3500 ish????

Doing a BOB now and could do with knowing what you tried and if you still have it what pins you were using just to double check what i have worked out so far

kensprin - 11/7/11 at 08:42 AM

Ended up scrapping the BOB managment and used a BOA ecu. PATS and Auto gearboxf unction proved a problem. The BOB is EEC-V 104 and is a nightmare. Your better of with the BOA ECU EEC-IV 60pin I can get you the pin out for that one.

Chippy on here knows a fair bit about this engine. Worth alerting him to this thread.

Cheers,
James

What did you do to get it running tho?
What did you get stuck on?

I ca do BOA ecu's all day long but i need to work out the BOB as the BOA is becomming hard to get hold of

Rob Allison - 24/7/11 at 07:52 AM

There is no way to work out the BOB ecu. It may be possible to use the TWEECer kit if they can get the firmware code. But there not sure at the moment if there US version stuff will work with the UK ecu.

mark-wiring - 24/7/11 at 08:08 AM

I can't see that to be honest.

If someone has had it running then there must be a way to get it to run full power.

I'm working on it now ill post results in a few weeks .............................

I can vouch for kensprin's ecu set up, I know nothing about the black arts of ecu, but I assisted in the fitting of the engine and 'box, and built the exhausts on this thing.
It goes like a rocket and sounds like an aeroplane, in stereo! the only problems appear to be are the lambda sensors failing occasionally and an air leak somewhere on the inlet side.
but hey ho! isn't this tinkering part of the fun.
