Toyota 1UZ-FE Engine to Audi 012 (Porsche G86-00) or 01E Adaptor Kit Available.

Hi All,

I thought long and hard before posting this, I’ve seen many of this type of post go wrong in the past, I took a while to make up my mind to do this so I hope this doesn’t all go wrong on me.
I’ve been working with Chris at BNC Products to come up with an adaptor kit that will enable me to fit together the Toyota 1UZ-FE Engine that I have to the Audi 012 (Porsche G86-00) transmission that I also have.

I believe that this kit will also work for the 01E transmission, which has the same bolting as the 012.

Having now done all the CAD work it’s time to get cutting metal and as with all machining jobs volume cuts cost, so the deal is if Chris can get orders for 3 of these units then the price will be A$1500 (US$1015 or 680 Quid) each plus GST (I assume for export there’s no GST) and shipping. I’m ordering one so that’s just 2 more to go.

The contents of the kit will include:
The adaptor plate in 6061 Aluminium
The flywheel in K1045 steel (Weight 6.12Kg)
Studs and nuts to hold the transmission to the adaptor plate
Bolts to hold the adaptor plate to the engine

What the kit will not include is:
The Toyota flex plate which is needed for the starter motor
Flywheel bolts (I believe Toyota 3RZ bolts are the required items but this is to be confirmed)
Clutch kit, the assembly is designed to use LuK rep set 17-055 from the Audi V6

From a cash point of view I don’t want to be involved directly in any of this so if you are interested in one of these then please contact BNC through their web site.

Below is an exploded view of the whole assembly:

I’ve also posted this on www. GT40s.com, if you happen to belong to another forum (lambolounge comes to mind) that might find this useful please link this to there.

PS: I don’t think this qualifies as any sort of ‘vendor’ type post as I’m not making any money at all out of this, other than getting the parts I need made for the same price as anyone else who orders one of these kits.

Thanks,

Just for Mr Whippy...

Here's a similar one done by the same guy.
Goes from a G86/20 (6 speed Porsche boxter s ) to a Chevy LS1.
