Saker RSC trans conversion

Does anyone understand what Saker do to convert the Scooby trans from 4x4 to a transaxle?

i read a article on a fella that converted his scooby to rwd
all he did was replace the center diff with a solid unit that ignored the front.

same thing could be done to convert it for use as mid/rear setup.
replace the center dif with a solid unit that ignores the rear.

Looking at an exploded view of the box it appears that what they do is run the out put shat or i think we used to call it the second motion shaft, forwards to the front diff and at the rear of this shaft put a multiplate silicon oil clutch. Similar to those found in a LSD. so the drive to the front is permanent while the drive to the rear can slip. Any views? Or does any one have a decent cross section?
