I hate to tell you this (cool car by the way) but your welds look like the current is to low or your wire feed is too high.
They are bulging outwards instead of concave and look like they are just sitting on top of the steel.

They are not the prettiest and he could stqnd to turn the heat up a bit, but I think they will work just fine.

On the face of it, those welds should be fine. Rather than up the heat, I'd slow down the wire feed a bit and take longer. Excesive convex
buildup doesn't do you any good, while penetration is next to godliness
Good job. Keep it up!

Thanks Guys
I don't know a lot about welding (two parts of nothing actually!) - that's why I took the chassis to Martin who comes highly recommended.
I will have a chat with him about your comments though.
Much appreciated.

Hi Joe
It's going to another guy for the exhaust - apparently he used to fabricate exhausts for F1 teams - it's amazing who you can find in the
depths of Mid Wales!
Black was the only option as the front half of the chassis (the original bit) is black and I didn't want to have to strip that all out for
painting as well - time is very tight - first event four weeks today!
