Hydraulic Clutch Pipe Diameter

Like most Midi's mine will have a hydraulically operated clutch. The Focus clutch release on the Ford IB5 gearbox is operated via a 6mm OD steel tube.

Since I don't have any 6mm diameter tube to run down the tunnel, but plenty of 5mm (3/16" dia. brake, does anyone know from experience if the smaller size will allow the cluch to operate satisfactorily?

Mal.

My clutch is piped with 3/16" seems to be fine. I have a Honda K20A3 in mine. Some would recommend bigger because of the flow requirements, but I have no plans to change mine.
