My brother had a GPX (V6 trip) and it was alot of fun.
We both ragged the granny out of it and they are quick cars. They feel alot quicker than a choked (autobox) 200BHP.
The gearbox feel was good and had a quick change in manual. It was also faultless all the time we had it and we coverd over 50K miles
Since then we have wondered how much the manual version was becasue it did feel slugish at times as autos do.
I would love to put EVO running gear in an FTO becasue they look really nice and weigh nothing.

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

You can pick a decent one now for around £1500. Problem is most people see the £500-£1000 ones as a nice cheap quick car but dont want to maintain it
like a sports car needs maintaining and complain when they have to spend £250 on a cambelt change, £90 on a set of plugs, £200 for disks/pads all
round and £350 for an exhaust. Never mind all the other consumables like drop links, ARBs that will need replacing on a 17 year old car. That and
nothing for them is cheap. You're still paying the same price for some decent suspension that you were 8 years ago.
