WTD - Borrow 20mm drill - Herts
Does anyone have a 20mm drill and pillar drill/lathe that i could use?
I'm fitting a breather to my cam cover. It's a -10 JIC fitting so needs a 7/8" thread tapping. The tap says use a 20.4 drill but my
pillar drill only goes up to 16mm. Can anyone help? Just need to dill one hole!
I'm in St Albans, Herts. but happy to travel.
TIA

You need a blacksmiths drill.
They have a 13mm shank but you can get them in loads of sizes, upto 25mm or so.
I have just got 19, 16.5 and 17.5mm off of ebay, they seller is called UKDRILLS, they are about £5.49 including the postage.

Thanks for the responses guys.
Sean - that's excellent. Will check them out.
Carl and Andy - Much appreciated. I'll check out drills first and get back to you later if necessary.
Thanks again

Biggest I got from them so far is a 19mm, you can borrow if you like (will post it but you still need to give it a seeing to with the file) but they
go up to quite a bit bigger.
For the sake of £6ish it's worth getting one from them (postage is about £2 each way)
