BMW 330Ci Convertable problems
Anyone in the no about these cars, or have any links to sites/forums etc.
Seen one that i really like but the roof won't go down. this means the price is very good but i don't know if it's the sort of
thing that is more trouble than there worth.
It's a BMW 330ci 2000 X reg E46
Any help is really appreciated
Thanks Paul
Always keep a big hammer and a condom in your toolbox, if you can't fix it with the hammer

Primary problem with them is driving them for any length of time at all will turn you into a hairdresser.

That is only true for the Z3 and 1 series.

318Ci maybe, 330Ci definitely not. Unless its an auto. In which case the driver needs to be slapped around the highlights.

I have a 530i sport auto as an every day car.
Absolutely fantastic engine and the auto box isn't that bad, especially in sport mode.
A 330ci would be a very nice, quick car and well worth buying and sorting the hood out if the money is right. This car would also get cheap road
tax.

A big plus if you intend maintaining it yourself is excellent diagnostic software that will talk all the various system ECUs on the car is availble
pretty cheaply --- my friend uses CarSoft running on a laptop to link to his 99 528 and gets close to dealer level access
see http://www.arcadiaincar.com
and search site on BMW
