Extreme's 'The Thing'
Did anybody see this car at Stoneleigh? Seems like quite an interesting project to me.
Its based on an Atom-esque chassis, is active 4WD and takes either an Audi V6 turbo or a Hayabusa.
Apparently according to the flyer I picked up, it has adjustable spoilers front and rear which raise and change the angle depending on the speed it is
'travailing' (sic) at.
Does anybody know anymore about this? I have a feeling that its at the very early stage of development, hence the name
James
ETA: Claimed performance is 0-60 in under 2.5 seconds, 1/4 mile in under 10

I saw it.
It didnt look any different to an atom. It only had half of the 4wd powertrain, so didnt really look anything special.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

It was on Extreme's stand, but it wasn't built (and it won't be finished) by them.

Thats odd, because to me the flyer seems to be promoting it as one of theirs. Hmmm.

Saw it too.
Loved how they positioned the bike engine in it... absolutely no thought whatsoever! May as well have placed it in the drivers seat area for all the
use it would have been in it's 'show-position'!
And frankly, their projected 0-60 and quarter-mile times were ridiculously optimistic!

They are a bit late!
Atomesque copy? Who would do such a thing?
Description
What about the air suspension on the Motaleira? I can alter front and rear ride height seperately.
I'll conceed to the 4wd, but I would like to see it first!
