Boost pressure sensor? Boost pressure converter (N75 valve)

Check all the vacuum pipes first mate. they often pop off under the air box. The pressure convertor is the valve the front of the engine next to the cam cover. They are common as are the vacuum pipes perishing. Also the mechanism for the variable vanes in the turbo seize up.

What age is it? MIne was like this when i bought it. The pump timing was way out. even a tooth on the fuel pump will give you trouble.

110? Thatl be AFN engine code. Check my suggestions above mate. Same as mine. Does the turbo just not come in or does it come in a drop out straight away?

ukpassats.co.uk is good for info

Had the wastegate stick open on mine a year or so ago. No symptoms apart from no boost. Couldn't even tell there was a problem driving round town.

I had a similar fault, turned out a MAF sensor wire in the loom was broken, put it into limp home mode.

I had a similar (if not the same) problem on my 2000 AFN in an Audi A4 1.9 tdi. It turned out to be one of the small diameter hoses (maybe vacuum?) connected to the turbo. It had a hole worn in it due to bad routing.
