I need a 6m aluminium scaffolding tower on castors in Plymouth, any ideas?
Im trying to hire a 6m alloy scaffolding tower for use in Devonport dockyard. Due to HSE it needs to be in date, and assembled by an approved
contractor.
It needs to be carried on board, assembled, then used in 13 different places for a man and some monitoring equipment, then disassembled and carried
out. This process will happen twice.
Does anyone know of any contractors in or around the area who might be able to help, I'm drawing a blank.
Cheers
Edit, I've found somewhere I can hire the tower, so if anyone knows of an approved contractor...

hire companys if not u2u and i will give you details of place in Exeter to get it from

Is that like a scissor lift? We're having problems with cranes and access which is why we're investigating the scaffolding route.

Unfortunately still 390kg. I was looking at similar things before I found we were limited to manual handling.

Have a chat with HSS hire they sometimes have people that can do things like that. Otherwise it doesn't cost a great deal to have someone
trained by PASMA accredited trainer. And it's only a days training for alloy towers. I know cos I have done the training.

Just thought it could also be possible to talk to a labour agency and get someone pasma trained! We find them every now and then.

My neighbour is a PASMA qualified trainer. Drop me a PM if you need any advice, or ask for Ray Whibley on 0775 360 0020.
Snigger - Whibley, for someone that trains on the use of towers! Tell him Dan off of next door sent you!

Not a good idea to post someones phone number on a public forum.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

It's on his website and side of his van - see Operator Training Services. I'm not daft
