who else has had a productive day?
I've had my engine out, fitted a new sump/oil pump/gasket. Refitted the clutch/flywheel/gearbox then put it all back in the car, also fitted
brake lines and painted all the marks from getting the engine out and back in
07.30 in the garage, 2130 ish out!

I had a very productive day, my new kit car arrived early this morn on the back of a flat bed and I spent the morning taking the engine out and
fishing parts of the big end out of the sump. (went bang soon after buying it!) Then spent the afternoon ordering new parts to redesign the dashboard.

Sort of, my lads ts125r rectifier/regulator has decided to go west just a week after a full engine rebuild and a new crank main bearing etc.
I'm starting to think this bike just doesn't want to work anymore!
Took the familiy 10 pin bowling this afternoon which was great, haven't done that for ages.
So sort of productive!
Cheers
Rich

Good day here too, got filthy.
Fished the old engine out, took off flywheel and clutch the we're re-using, took those of new engine.
Stipped all the other unwanted bits off new engine, manifolds, fuel rail etc. Fitted new spigot bearing. Nice afternoon here, had a light shower about
3 but lovely apart from that. Should get new engine in tomorrow. As long as it runs it's getting booked straight into ATSpeed to sort out the
fuelling and ignition map.
Oh and whacked my head on the engine crane, small cut so I'm having a bit of 'medicine', Scottish medicine

Managed to get out the garage for the first time since i had my appendix out (the hard way ), so I consider that to be productive even if it was
only for half an hour

bugger all done on the car, finished off a brick wall yesterday (put coping stones on the top) today, sorted out the silt trap under the patio, since
it was COMPLETELY full yesterday, then saw the big sturgeon at the garden centre
had a look at the car, might actually get some done to it soon

Ive had a productive week.
Picked the engine up from bournemouth last friday, and had it installed by saturday.
Out again on Monday, and steam cleaned and painted by tuesday. Parts ordered for replacement of head bolts etc and water pump fitted wednesday.
Supercharger bracket mocked up on thursday and nothing done on Friday.
Picking up the old engine i had next week to rob it of all its usefulness. Should be making a start on Megasquirt next week all being well, though
have just hit a busy patch at work.
Hope to have it running by the end of next month.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

I have had a great day
took the engine out of the van this morning, got it on the cradle and in the car, fitted the throttle bodies (yeah I know big job!) but also managed
to get the handbrake fitted and working.
took 20 mins to look at the wiring loom, malc at yorkshire engines managed to convince me that it was easy, it took me 20 mins to realise there was at
leats 8 connectors that went into one socket.
then to the pub for too many beers (hense the late post).
all in all a good day, and im motivated by the progress!

I'm picturing the hard way being something like doing it yourself, being shot or one heck of a shrapnel wound!

Sort of productive, in a non-car-related way...
Went with a mate to check out my first big bike & sort out the paperwork to pick it up on Tuesday.
Viewed a couple of houses this afternoon, and it looks like we'll be putting an offer in on one of them. If it comes off, we should have garage
space for the bikes & my tools and still have room in the house for the stuff that my family seem to acquire...

Well i've ended up with 4 holes in my abdomen (3 keyhole and one 3" gash), so shrapnel wound wouldn't be far off
