Hi,
I have skied mayrhofen and was very impressed, the area pass works on the little railway so we skiied a differnt resort every day!
a pint and food were all about 1/4 of french prices
+ it has a glacia at the top so even if its getting a bit warm you still have snow

I did Igls a few years ago.
It's quite a small steep hill, but we got the hotel on the other side of the road from the ski lift, so getting up the mountain was a doddle. We
could ski into the hire shop and garage at the and of the day. Nursery slopes were one at the top and one at the bottom.
Not the best beginners location but some nice runs through woods. Was rocky and icy but loads of snow fixed that..
Busses run to the glaciers every day (for free I think)
Can't remember pricing, too many afternoon cream cakes left me sleepy all week.
Must go back

I went skiing there 30 years ago. It was nice. I doubt the rocks have eroded much.

We've been to St.Anton a couple of times (2005 and 2008) with
Matt_GSXR and his family, and really enjoyed it.
Very good skiing, nice looking town, queues not too bad.
We stayed in the Nasserein end of town, in a chalet with Esprit ( very good if
you've got kids).
Don't remember it being any more pricey than other resorts, but prices in general have gone up hugely since we went there.
Tim.
