Can I get rid of ICQ/AIM/Yahoo messenger in profiles?

Just looking for the opinion of you all, please.

The original software allowed people to enter their ID's for AIM, ICQ and Yahoo. Looking in the database, very few people have filled these fields in and even fewer look like they are genuine usernames.

Would anyone be upset if I junked these from the database?

(MSN messenger will likely stay for now as I believe it's still in common use)

Chris

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

What about a LocostBuilders chat server? Probably XMPP based, so it would work with Pidgin, etc. Anyone interested in that?

agree, bin them. and as Staple said, facebook, youtube and twitter would be more appropriate nowadays.

have found chatrooms in the past not to work but may do on here considering the size of the member list.
