New project

Some of you will have followed my LMP project a while ago. I had to cancel this unfortunately due to a lack of time. However, I had spent a lot of time and money on the project that I didn't want to waste. So I was looking for a similar if less time consuming project to replace this.

After a long while considering the options, I have bought a LMP chassis and bodywork package from Steve Turner. Steve, has been very accommodating in the chassis construction so I can use all of my components (with some adaptation): Turbo hayabusa, wheels, uprights, brakes, steering rack, wing and pedal box etc. I will be fabricating my own A-Arms.

I am still very busy setting up a race team so this project is going to be something I will be taking my time on. I suspect most of the work will be done during the winter months. Anyway I am pretty excited to be building again once the parts arrive in 2 or 3 months.

Congrats to both you and Mr. Turner!

That is excellent news and I look forward to you building and maintaining a website to let us 'less fortunate' blokes follow your progress.

Do you have a timeframe for the progress?

Also, what are your plans for your existing chassis? Is that something that you are willing to sell? If so, what is the wheelbase?

We're obviously delighted to have Paul purchase a kit from us and can't wait to see it finished with THAT engine in it!

Best Regards,

Steve.

Sounds like a match made in heaven!

TurboBusa meets TAD-LMP and they have a baby. Like GodZilla!

Do you have a timeframe for the progress?

Short answer, no. I will chip away at it and it will finished when its finished.

I don't plan on doing a website due to lack of time. I would rather spend time on the car. I will however post updates/pictures here.

My chassis is cut up in pieces in my basement. I wasn't happy giving someone my chassis or design given that it wasn't tested. I don't want to be responsible for an accident if something failed due to a design or construction flaw.

Good to hear that you are working on another car. Your site was amongst those that inspired me to start on my own mid engined build

Cheers
