Some years back I noticed he said he'd spent 17,000 hours on it so far - yes, 17,000. Who knows what it's up to by now...

Guess so... but 17,000? That's a full-time 40-hr a week job for >8.5years! No thanks.

Goodness Gracious, I mean, looking at the car I can tell that a tremendous amount of time was spent on it, but 17,000 hours!. Up to this point, that's 10% of my life! Wow, hard to imagine. But the car certainly is jaw-dropping, it's all in the details. Look at his wiring for goodness sakes, it looks like it was run by the strictest of Nazis.

I was drooling over that one about 2 years ago when I was looking at a 914 to be a project car- was sadly disapointed when I found one and I did not have room in the footwell for my feet. I did not even bother to try and take it for a spin
914s have always been called the poor mans porsche even though they are my favorite. That one sure is not a poor mans one.

Thanks
Dale

my 14 and11 year old boys 22
and 19 now want to drive but have to be 25 before insurance will allow. Finally on the road
