Barkston heath track day

Looking at possibly going on this track day on 6th aug.

anyone done this track/airfield before.

whats it like,

suface, conditions run off etc worth going or not?????

any input greatfully received.

I used to fly from there, so i dont have all the nitty gritty of driving at such a place. Its an old american bomber base so the runways are pretty long and wide. Its all tarmac, and obviously kept clean as they dont want any FOD.

May be wrong but isnt this the one some guys were on about a while ago, I think the words BUPA and Undertaker and Hospital were used.

I went to watch a couple of months back, not very good. Not much run off, very slippery and not much protection around the numerous lamp posts! I'm sure a couple who have actually driven there will post a response, but by all accounts not up to much.

been there 3 times, diffent to a proper race track but great fun
no there isnt much run off, and yes there are a few lamp posts, but still safer to test your limits than the road
