Hi again just to let you know that what i was after was the sort of gear ratio that the electric reverse boys have-I have had a idea that would do away with the complicated electronic speed controls that are needed? what sort ratio do z cars use in their system etc???
cheers gary.

The speed control overcomes the otherwise violent jerk you'll get if it's just an on/off system.

HI all
thanks for that but i think that i have put it in words all wrong.
What im after is a approx ratio that the electric motor reverse boys use ie piion size to rear gear size so that i have aidea where to start? The electronic control is what i wish to avoid and although people think im mad (or inspired) i wish to not use a electric motor!!!!!
cheers in anticipation gary.
