Relational CAD
Hi All,
Thought I'd post this as it shows one of the big benefits (in my opinion) of the good solid modelers like Solid Edge and Solid
Works.
Which is the relational nature of the modeling method if you look at the video you can see that many different parts are being changed just by
changing 2 dimensions in a sketch.
Obviously this makes doing the iterations in a design a lot easier than having to do modify one part at a time.
You'll also notice the steel is not cut back at the connections, this is because I asked it not to rather than it not being possible, which it
is.

Constraints and assemblies are wonderful things. They're a pain to start, but they can save your life if you need to change something.
