At Last
After over 18 months of collecting bits and storing in loft etc. I've finally got a house with garage and workshop.
Even more amazing I've managed to get back on this site. (lost password and it wouldn't give me it back) albeit under a different name.
So the build is definitely on (after I've finished the decorating that is).
At this rate of progress I might even figure out how to put a pic in my avatar before I finish the car.

Good luck with the build. At least the wait is over, for nearly 18 months I haven't had time or been able to get at my chassis due to other
things going on. Hope to start again soon.
At least I have a picture in my avatar!

Thanks for that. I think my pics were in wrong format or something. Not really a problem now as one of the kids has boogered my digicam by spilling
lemonade on it. Was going to say I was formerly known as Ron Champion but then I'd have no excuse for asking some of the questions that I do.

Book chassis. Live axle. Doing it again I'd have gone for the McSorley and Sierra IRS route (cos I'm a bit tall so going to have to be
careful with pedal seat arrangement to get enough legroom. )
Still it's too late for that as I've got chassis engine axle gearbox etc. so it's escort for now with a 1.8 Zetec when my Mondeo
finally "bites the rust".

I have heard of people extending the pedals/cylinder into the engine bay to increase the legroom, might be an option for you if it is tight?

Choice of seat makes a huge difference to the amount of room. Bin-bag+foam giving most room if you can live with the styling.
