Porsche 550 Replica Design

Clearing my drawers of some of old rendering........, this was one of my ideas for a modern Porsche 550 replica kit.

the idea was to use a locost mid-engine chassis or an old 550 kit chassis, and then cover it with a one piece tub............that was the initial idea...

Do they take you long to draw and render?

I was taught rendering at university and I was horrendous at it.

Sigh...

It really depends on the project, those were done for myself as a fun A3 Vellum paper project, I was trying out a chrome effect........, without counting the early design sketch work, and all three renderings took me 6hrs. total.

But sometimes it's a lot longer...

For some reason I can't help but wonder what the Silver Frog would look like if you'd jack it up 5 cm and fit some beefy offroad tires..

A 4x4 version seems like FUN!

I'd love to do a modern interpretation of the 356 coupe. looking for a suitable shell decent enough to use, but knackered enough that I can justify it

a few pics of my other projects
