100 most beautiful cars...

as voted by Torygraph readers

wonder if the lotus 7 features in there ?

No.1 should have been this

Pretty sure there are other Leman cars in there so the list is not just for road going cars.

I've also never understood the E-Type Jag obsession.

sure it's not an ugly car - but it's not that special either!

Dino should have been number 1 - mmmm

I too don’t understand the fascination with the E type. It’s too narrow, has too much ground clearance and with the low horizontal bonnet and near vertical windscreen, with a hard top, it looks like a referee’s whistle .
The Citroen DS was a seminal car in terms of styling but perhaps not 2nd on the list.

I would also have put the DB7, Karman Ghia and Porsche 356 further up the list.

The Ford Granada, Lotus Europa and Chevrolet Bel Air should not be in there at all.

I strongly suspect two or three owners clubs have manipulated the results two an extreme degree, the result is an extremely odd hotch pot --

Jag Mk2 more beautiful than an SS100 pull the other one.
Tr6 nice shape but great beauty noway.
Talbot 90 ! --- so boring not even the best looking 1950s Sunbeam Talbot

Any list of beautiful cars is always going to included at least one Ferrari, one Alfa, one Jag, one Merc, one Bugatti, one Porsche, one Maser and from the us Cord, Auburn & Dusenberg, 64 Mustang and Stingray

Which looks better - miura or dino? I could never decide. But they should have been joint 1st (IMHO!).

The McLaren owners club isn't that big and RD was too busy to vote.

A large % of the Jaguar Drivers club must own Mk2 and vote for their own model.

How can you say the Citroen DS isn't good enough to be no 2?

It's unique and interesting, but not beautiful IMO

They only do those lists to generate 'it's wrong because' controversy like this - nice bit of free advertising and traffic past the ads on their website. No one will ever agree on the exact order anyway.

(I'm another of the e-type, so what crowd, only one I like is the lightweight. D-type was far nicer IMO).
