Buntingthorpe - 5th/6th july

I know Newark’s coming up this week and a lot of us will be attending, but I am just wondering how many people are thinking of going to the event at Buntingthorpe on the 5TH and 6th of July

I only ask because I was just thinking of booking some camping tickets ain advance, and also some track sessions

I have not yet used the Viento on track and they appear to have a novice session and then I plan an other in later that day. + they are also doing a ¼ mile sprint.

Any one else interested?

Paul.

Paul,

Deffo interested but not sure that a.) the setup is tight enough to risk a track session (i.e. not worried about going off on the runway but am about taking someone out on my way!) and b.) fairly sure it's too loud (think they've set a 98 dBA limit).

Too much money to throw away on a test of either - If I had the time I'd put it through voluntary SVA to get it check but work is headless at the moment...

Probably going to go for the day - see if I can beg a noise test and if Octane, God of Kitcars, is smiling then pay my £25 for a 30 min blat when it's a bit quieter

Whaddyafink?

Not sure about the noise test but think I will take a gamble and book the novice session on Saturday.

Not planning to go all out but should be up to doing a few medium paced laps

CLIVE – are we planning to have a club stand at this event.

There seems a lot going on during the two days so I intend to camp Friday and Sat and enjoy the spectacle. May even have a go on the go-karts!

Paul.

You've got a real go-cart! Why do anything smaller

EDIT: From the Speed on Wheels website, Noise levels are 98 decibels. It will be a static noise test at 3/4 engine revs measured at one metre from the exhaust at 45 degrees.
