extended down link opinions

hi, i extended my down link today but to save the rubber donut from the heat i removed 2 rivets ,welded and replaced with 2,, 8.8 m8 bolts and nylocks is this OK with regards to SVA and safety Rescued attachment Picture.jpg

Can't see why it wouldn't actually be a little better than the original.

Looks fine.

I got rid of the donut all together and used a Group 4 UJ.

People do talk about a single point of failure etcetc.

But if the whole world crashed into the sun, we'd all die horribly. You could call that a single point failure, but it aint gonna frickin happen.

That looks fine.

P.S. you might drill and lockwire the nuts to the bolts I spose...
