Hi all,
I'm completely new to all this (but excited all the same) having just bought a built velocity XT.
My question is can anyone tell me the actual length of the car?
I know I should have measured it when I looked but I forgot :-(
A friend has a 10ft box trailer and we're wondering whether I'd be able to fit the car on it or not....
Thanks in advance,
Russell.
Welcome to the forum Russell, sorry cant help with the length but I am sure some one will soon.
Where abouts are you?
If you get the chance make sure you try and meet up with the rest of us At Stoneleigh show this year on the Luego owners club stand.
Paul
Check the website www.luegosportscars.com there are all the measurments.
And congrats with your car, hope it will give you a lot of fun.
Here you go, wheelbase will give you a good idea about the total length.
Length and Width Of Chassis
Velocity Xt
Length 3060mm x 1070mm wide
---------------------------------------------
Wheel Base
Velocity Xt
Length centre to centre 2400mm, Width at rear centre to centre 1490mm, Width at front centre to centre 1350mm
Hope this helps.
Congrats on your purchase mate.
I dont think youl get a velocity in a 10 ft box trailer if thats what your thinking.
3060mm is 10.03937007874ft. Plus youv got about another foot or 2 for the nose and rear.
Welcome Russell to the Luego Owners Club.
You will find that we are all willing to help/advise if we can. Where abouts are you based. If you can it would make it easier if you could enter your
location into your profile.
Look forward to meeting you soon.
Clive.
Thanks very much to all of you for the replies. I'd heard that this was a friendly scene and very knowledgable too!
As far as transporting the car is concerned, sounds like I might have to go to plan b as it will be a bit of a squeeze, not a problem!
I just want to get the car back to mine then it's the small matter of an SVA retest.
I'm definitely planning on going to Stoneleigh so look forward to meeting some of you there, if not before.
Thanks.
hello mate good to see you got on the forum.... yeah there not a bad bunch in here, let me know when the car has landed and we'll come round to
have a look

Welcome to the Madhouse!...
Lots of friendly types and lots of information available. Use the Search, as many topics have been done to death already. Ask as much as you want.
People will always help.
Now... If you have never had a kit car or a Se7en style car before, take it easy until you have learned how your car handles and reacts. They drive
nothing like a standard car. (they are much more fun!)
Many people have just got in them and then crashed, as they did not understand their cars strong and weak points.
They are all rebuildable. However, you dont want a major project as the summer is approaching!
Keep all the work until the winter. Believe me, its damn cold out in a Se7en in winter, even on a sunny day!
Maybe you will be going to Stoneleigh. We usually all meet up and camp over the weekend. Even if you are not camping, go for the day and come and
meet us all.
Good luck with the car, and take care.
