Well I have (just after 6) spoken to John who was having his SVA done on his car this afternoon.
I will let John fill in all the details. Sadly it was a fail, but not that bad. The good thing, as I said to him, was that it was fail and not a
refusal to test, so at least now he knows exactly what and where his goal posts are and by the sound of it they should all be easy fixes. He probably
won't be on the road by Stoneleigh, however I see him being to make Newark with ease.
Well done John. You have done well in such a short time, compared with my 4 years, 23 weeks and 1 day.
I look forward to seeing you on the road.

Thanks Clive,
overall the test fail wasnt that bad
Main points
Issue with brake resovoir feeds
Rear brakes poor, requires a re bleed and check.
Weep from front brake fittings.
Check bias bar and lock up
Side and hazards should operate without ignition on
Various minor edge issues and dash radi problem.
Speedo re calibrate
Side mirrors need replacing
Front headlamps need lifting up and beam pattern needs adjustment on the nearside.
the list goes on but all fixable.
The main problem was at the end of the test the bike carbs fell off, it seems the silicon hose between the carbs and the manifold has problems holding
this caused me major problems getting the car back on the trailer and causing me to damage on of the rear wings and loose my temper big time.
All calmed down now this morning and thankfall the car got ther within the SVA system and wasnt a miserable faliure.
Thanks for everbodys help
cheers
John
Had my TBs coming off when the car was on the rolling road , a couple of cable ties held them on long enough to set it up and get home. Made up some securing straps which I bolted onto the inlet manifold and to some existing bolt holes on the TBs. Has been fine for 2 years.
You can get narrow stainless hose clips , these give a better grip than the standard wider ones.I used black rubber radiator hose and have never had
any problems with it, the silicon stuff is damaged by fuel and delaminates over time.
Corby hose and hydraulics will be able to supply both items.
Paul.
