Had the retest this morning after failing on my first attempt in febuary. One by one the items on his list got ticked off then the final two which were the ones that were most likely to fail: speedo was within 3mph of true speed all the way to 70 - chuffed about that, then the final test which was emissions - idle mixture needed a little adjustment then it passed!

Really chuffed, drive home was brilliant despite getting pulled over.

Just got to get it registered now!

Reg process was easy for me at pompy, the only problem you may have is that the reg inspections are only done on wed and they are done at botley

Thanks for the kind words guys. The police lady that pulled me over was actually pretty cool about it, they obviously knew the system and I just explained why I had no plates, and they acfepted my answer and didn't even ask for any paperwork.

I don't think I'll be able to make stoneleigh as I already have other plans but hope to attend some of the local meets and meet some of the other guys around here.

Just polishing off a bottle of champagne with the gf now to celebrate!
