build manuel
Kieth - 16/3/04 at 04:42 PM

I have got the build manuel for the velocity but it stops at the first part of fitting the grp panels. I am at the stage of wanting to fit the rear arches and need further info. can anyone shed some light on a complete build manuel ?

Thanks for your response. I didn't think of trying Grant as i am probably a big pain in his neck at the moment !

in that case he must have a remarkable tolerance to pain ......
i'm sure there is more of us being it

it's good to know i'm not the only one. I seem to be always going backwards with my build at the moment. How you getting on with yours?

Scotty - 18/3/04 at 10:58 AM

errrrrrrrrrrrrr !
although i picked up the kit middle last year, we had to build a shed which took longer than planned, mind you it is 20ft square then strip down a sierra and a calibra (was going to use the engine).
last nigh we moved the chassis in to the shed, i I have now officially started the build

Hi Keith,

You wouldn't believe the amount of times I've appeared to take one step forward and two back, so you are definately not alone.
When you get in touch with Grant (I daren't because contrary to what anyone else says , I reckon I must get the award for the biggest pain in Grants a**e) then can you ask him to put the latest build details on his website and also try and convince him that us seriously stressed Viento builders could do with a little more info re the V8 etc side of things.

I must admit, with a close eye to all things SVA, I tend to go my own route, I've found that doing things as per the Velocity doesn't always work for the Viento.
By far the biggest help is all the information and advice given by all you enthusiasts on this forum.

Thanks Guys.....keep up the good work

Cheers

Dave

I would love to pass on all request but i think he must have a seperate email address as i sent him one on tuesday and aint eard nuting yet so i will trie again. www.luego@painsbin.co.uk. I like the guy and will have to send him an easter egg to get the good guys address. I am into the rolling chasis with 50% of the brakes done but i keep going my own way, the way of more expense. As i wise woman said, follow the yellow brick road and all your dreams will come true but they didn't cater for the colour blind.

Keith,

I'm at a similar stage! And like yourself I seem to find the slightly more expensive route!! Should make for a more impressive vehicle at the end tho!!

Current state! (as of last weekend) http://www.landrover.demon.co.uk/images/Garage%20-%20wheels%20stage.JPG

If all goes to plan, the engine is going in tomorrow!!

Just been and had a look at picci and apart from the colour it's like mine but without the front to rear brake pipes. I've saved the image in my ever growing picture collection and will do one of were i'm at when i can get the camera working. I wish i could be at the engine stage but with no gearbox i'm fubard.

Yeah i noticed the front to rear brake pipes as well. I think grant told me to plug them up the other way to you, donners, because thats the way the bias bar is set to work.

dont know if this is the case in your situation
