Does anybody know if a 9" wide rim with a 255/40/17 tyre fit inside the huge wheelarches?
Yes, thats what i have.
kenton
great thanks.
Going to need something wider than my 205 at present when i fit the new engine
Isnt the new engine fitted?
huge supercharger
yeh i had a little problem with seeing where i was going
I am running 235 on an 8 inch rear rim with 20mm spacers -
If I ever get new rear tyres will go for 255
all depends on getting the correct of set to start with.

I had the two rear rims widened from 7" to 8 1/2" and fitted 235/45/ZR17 tyres. The offset is ET38, could'nt find a lower offset at the
time I bought the rims. I will definitely also go for 255/40/17 the next time I chage tyres and I also want to have 10 mm spacers manufactured so that
they can fill a bit more towards the outsude, I guess the tyre outer wall will then be another inch closer towards the outside which is what I
originally was hoping for.

Running the same as you intent to fit with 25mm spacers...
Hi all
I bought 15" x 9" (rears) compomotives for my viento with ZERO offset and fitted 20mm spacers also and they fill the arch nicely, only
have 225's on themFront are et38 on 7" rims
I have 8" rears with 235 tyres, and a 22mm offset and 15mm hubcentric spacers.
In hindsight, should have gone 9 or 10" rears with 255 or 265 tyres.
I had my wheels made, and still got it wrong! However, I was erring on the side of caution. At least they fit under the wheel arches and are level
with the outside edge of the wheel arch.
There is a lot of room under Viento rear arches. They were made big to keep the aspect ration of the rear view correct.
Otherwise it would have been a wide body with narrow arches, and would not look right.
I'm running 10" 295 under the rear and they fit just fine
Welcome back big boy ! How's it going?
Had a slight delay, had to do 60 days in prison for not paying council tax, silly me!!!!!!, but now i'm out, car should be moved to new workshop next week so i can get on it over the winter.
