I want to put one roll hoop support going foreward and mount on front of tunnel, anyone tell me if this been done before and id it allowed for the IVA test, reason being i want to put a small boot in the back.

Roll bar isn't a requirement for IVA, so as long as it doesn't interfere with anything like handbrake operation, seat belts etc then all they would be interested in would be sharp edges/projections from it.

Whether it would actually do much to protect you in a shunt would obviously depend on the design, but nio reason a forwrd facing support can't work as well as rearward facing providing it is anchored correctly

Are you talking about a Petty Strut? If so I dont think they are MSA compliant anymore (should that be what your after)

I'd agree with Russ but really need to see a picture/drawing to be sure what youintend. Plent of people have rear struts on 7 and still have a boot in the back though.

I think you'd be surprised how much space is available for a boot with a roll over bar and rear stays. You just need to be smart about how the lids operates. Its not like you loose any space as all the roll bar is external.
