New DAD and the Viento goes off for a exhaust

So I have become a DAD! After a pretty horrific forceps birth and a 9 pound 6 baby both are doing well. It was actually a couple of months back but
I haven't posted it up here. Being a Dad is amazing but time consuming!!!!
Also I have moved house.
In other news after a considerable break due to the above the Viento went off to get its exhaust yesterday. Bit nervous letting it go off to the
fabricators. Can't believe what I have done though. 3/4 lock the wheel arches foul the headlights. What a dope I am! Why didn't I test
full lock in the garage!!!!! Doh! Also I managed to run my own foot over with the rear wheel.
After a discussion with the fabricator he is going to make me a couple of polished stainless steel heat shields for free if I vinyl his van for him.
Removeable for IVA. Win for me as it won't cost me anything just a couple of hours work!

9lb 6oz can't have been much fun...
mine is now 5 weeks old now, but her mum is quite small so at 9lb 7.5oz it had to be a section (in the hospital for 5 days before they decided that

His mum is 5ft 11inch so probably a bit easier than for some smaller mums. 9lb 7oz is a real whopper! I bet the C-section was scary!! I lost my
temper at the antinatel class reunion with a couple that were being very very righteous about their home birth and how brilliant it was. I literally
dread to think what would have happened if we weren't at the hospital. The staff at the hospital were amazing though.

actually it was all very relaxed and a bit surreal in the end...
she had a spinal block so was awake through most of it - it was 4am when they got started and we hadn't slept in about 36 hours.... (and 14

they knew I wasn't too good with gory bits so they sat me next to her and made sure I couldn't see much
then anesthetist put his phone on a speaker dock and we were all playing guess the movie/tv theme tune while she was getting cut open 
Its a bit weird when you hear the registrar with both hand inside suddenly say "hang on... ...I know that one, its jurassic park"
My GF even got on right while they were rummaging around inside her!
after about 25min they pulled out my daughter cleaned her up and handed her to me - at which point my GF fell fast asleep and started snoring - they
only took another 30min to stitch her mum back together after that and then it was back off to the ward
the staff were all really good, but the place is far to busy because the new hospital was built too small and management couldn't find there own
arses with both hands and a guide book 
new uncomplicated cases were getting diverted to the other side of the country on at least 2 of the days we were there - yet we had to wait all day
(blocking a bed) to get discharged as they didn't have enough doctors to do the discharge checks...

Wait for the sleepless nights
Ours was 5 years old before shee slept through.
Now 14 and you cannot gether out of bed now

Our first was a couple of months before he slept through ...............
Our second was about the same ............
although i'm not so sure as I slept through within a couple of days!!!!
Our first now wakes up to have a wee, lost his teddy, can't get his duvet from the floor, had a bad dream, had a good dream, wants to make sure
Uncle hasn't gone home, the big bad wolf can't blow the house down, to tell me the big bad wolf can't blow the house down and I
shouldn't worry .....
and my misses sleeps through whilst i get up !!!!!!

actually ours actually wakes up (and screams) to tell you she wants a pee already - so the potty is getting some heavy use already and we are
getting quite a lot of dry nappies that can be used again! - not bad for 5 weeks old
but I wish she'd give us the same warning before the explosive diarrhea that always seems to overflow the nappy

Nice baby pics (both big and small!).
Good to see that your finding some time to spend with the car - that's a long build if you started in 1949
I remember sending mine off to the exhaust makers a few weeks ago and I felt the same way. Good call with the heat shields, I've already given
myself a minor burn because I was so used to working on the car without the exhaust.
My IVA retest is on Tuesday and I think that I've sorted what I need to but will only really know once I'm on the rolling road. It only
took a couple of days to fix the issues, but Nottingham VOSA is quite busy and Tuesday was the earliest that they could get me in.
Looking forward to the drive there and back as I'll be a lot less nervous than last time

Our Boy, Kenneth popped out at 11lb 4oz.
We had the nurses from all over the hospital coming to see him.
They kept him in the special care unit for 2 weeks as he had this infection. we felt like imposters as the baby in the bed next to him was 2.5
lb...
