I need help in a couple of arears...
1) The brake master cyclinders..
what is the size of the connector from the M/C to the brake line. I brought a 12mm male connector, but it woudl not fit. a 10mm is too small.
2) which is which. One has Girling 0.625 and the other has 0.7. the 0.7 was labelled as Rear, and the smaller ( 0.625) as the Front. Which way round
do they go?
3) what have people used for the pipes from the Reseviour to the M/Cs?
Thanks,
Ian
Hi Ian
1. I used standard brake line connectors for the 'out' end and a clutch pipe end for the 'in' end. They are a standard size AFAIK
- in any case I just bought a box of each from the motor factors, no mention was made of different sizes.
2. It doesn't matter which side of the pedal you fit each MC as long as you plump them up correctly.
3. I used a small stub of standard sized copper clutch pipe (2" or so) to connect to the master cylinder and a length of flexible hose from
Burton to connect these to the reservoir. Make sure the flex tube has the BS number clearly visible on it for the SVA.
Cheers, Chris
Try Merlin Motorsport
The Brake line connector is imperial and the resevoir connector which accpets the hose is imperial.
They do hose that SVA recognise.
