Flex. brake hose fixing..
tks - 22/1/05 at 06:07 PM

i was mounting the brake tubes on today,

and i thought wy not bolt the flexible hoses to the side panels?

what should be the pro's and contra's of it?

in that way the movement problem of the flex. hose in the panel is gone....

i only was thinking of a very small movement in the panel that might pull to hard of the normal brake tube...

is it possible or better not?

We did this on our fronts TKS...

Placing a aluminium strip behind for added rigidity and to stop starring of the GRP.

Go for it!

i'm building a velocity XT,

soow in my case there is no GRP,

just ALU panels, on my chasis they have welded brackets for them, but then i have to make a 20mm hole in the side panel and the hose can be damaged by the panel then or the rubber wil one day need changing...
offcourse, i could make it and with a big lus soow that in case of movement the fixed hose have the room to play...

will think about it..

i dunno now, the idea that it could fibrate and become lose is my nightmare..

i was anywhere also talking about the fronts..

Go through the ali.
That's what i did on my Avon (on an extra ali panel at the front behind the bone brackets and it's what I'll be doing on my locoblade.
