If changing to an escort sump you also need to change to the Escort pick-up pipe as it is shorter, as is the sump

Escort sump will give you plenty of ground clearence, i would still be wary of large speed bumps though. The escort sump will give you 21mm more clearence than the mondeo one

I'm going to chop the bottom off my mondeo zetec sump,basically copying the dunnel sump and shortening the pick-up.

Its speed hump hell on most of my routes to work so i cant really cope with the 21mm less from the escort sump,just a case of finding someone who can TIG weld
