Finally managed to get the old wheel bearings out and new ones in. Any top tips for fitting the drive shafts i.e. connect which bits first (disc brakes)

Also it seems like the offside one is slightly too short and doesn't reach the hubcarrier and the near side one is too long and would need some spacers - both about 1cm out - i'm sure i have them the right way round , cos the other way they are way out ?

i had the same with my viento, are the shafts you are using from a estate car.

i have been told that thay are shorter than hatch back cars

You have got me worried now!

I have drive shafts of a standard sierra saloon not a 4x4. Planning to fit them in the next few weeks but now wondering if they are the right type.

Do they have to come from a 4x4 to fit on the Viento ?

I have fitted mine as atrial fit and with the diff central in its mounts, ie equal spacers either side, the shafts reach out to the hub carriers by the same amount.
i have 4x4 diff/shafts etc into a viento
