Well, i've gone and done it now.
I have ordered a viento kit, pick it up in early Jan.
Its going to ba a 900mile round trip in the worst weather but its going to be worth it.
I intend fitting an Alfa V6, just to be different, nothing against V8s mind.

at least I am taking my time, one and a half years and soon It will roll out of the garage on wheels ( no engine - that will still be in bits in the garage)

alfas v6 is the nuts... no better sounding 6 cyl out there...
